Radek Pawlowski - Outside Counsel

Radek Pawlowski serves as the Chief Legal Officer of Royalton Partners. He is an attorney, educated and admitted to practice in the U.S. (New York). He joined Royalton Partners in April 2013, where he serves as dedicated outside counsel.  Since 2012, Radek has been affiliated with the Dentons law firm in Warsaw, Poland.

Between 2008 and 2012, Radek was an associate in the bank finance and financial restructuring departments of Kaye Scholer LLP and White & Case LLP, two leading New York-based law firms. Between 2000 and 2003, he worked for prominent public relations firms in Poland. Prior to that, he was a judicial clerk to a U.S. federal judge in Delaware and an intern at the American Bar Association in Washington as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Polish Parliament.

Radek is in charge of all corporate governance for the AIFM, the managed AIFs and the relevant portfolio companies. He has relevant exposure to highly qualified type of transactions, both domestic and international and to compliance and regulatory matters in a number of jurisdictions, especially in regards to the Alternative Investment Fund Manager Directive. He guided Royalton Partner to obtain an AIFM license. He is responsible for setting up comprehensive fund management services from the legal perspective as required by the AIFMD: portfolio management, risk management, compliance/reporting, valuations, and EU marketing passport. He advises on structuring fund transactions, drafting internal procedures and compliance materials, as well as coordinating with the Luxembourg financial regulatory authority, the CSSF. In his business capacity, Radek is a member of the board of directors of Royalton Partners and the management and/or supervisory boards of the fund's portfolio companies: CertAsig, a property/casualty insurer in Romania, Energy Power Group, a solar power producer in the Czech Republic, Central European Airport Services, the leading ground handler in Lithuania, IUS Group, a legal and financial search portal in Slovenia and Croatia, Kom-Eko, a waste management company in Poland, and City Parking Group, a parking operator active in Poland and the Czech Republic.

Radek Pawłowski holds degrees from Yale University (B.A., 1999) and Hofstra University School of Law (J.D. 2007). He has studied at the Free University and Heidelberg University in Germany and Ghent University in Belgium. He speaks fluent English and Polish, and conversational German, Spanish and Italian.
